Birmingham: A City Rooted in Talent is a documentary film highlighting the immense notable talent that has emerged from Birmingham over a number of decades. This talent is diverse and widespread, much like the city itself, but has rarely been showcased as a collective. Birmingham has produced some of the UK's most extraordinary talent over the years and we want to celebrate the protagonists whilst reminding the public just how amazing Birmingham is!

Contrary Trees Productions has secured an impressive guest list and we will be interviewing an array of creatives and sports icons including musicians, singer/songwriters, TV presenters,  ex-footballers, actors, film directors, authors and more.

We will also be remembering some of those who have passed on showing incredible archive footage sourced from living relatives and societies for use in the documentary film.
